I would appreciate information on this topic. Thanks

Thanks for the info. But if they do not transfer money into my Paypal account then why should I verify my Paypal id with a Credit Card.
It means that the credit card is solely used only for depositing money into my Paypal account. And checks takes at least 1 and a half month to reach here added with ages required for clearance of these cheques.
I don't think Paypal is of any use for Indian residents wanting to receive money from abroad. There are lot of phishing going on, too.
We Indian homeworkers should take a stand and accept payments from our clients only via wire transfer or online bank transfers.

@ContentKing

Wire transfer is very costly. It attracts a fee of $30-$50, I think, equivalent to 1200 to 2000 rupees. It is not at all feasible. That is why normally check payments are accepted, as the fee charged by the bank is only 200-300 rupees depending on the bank (UTI takes very less fee).

Many people accepts and pays through PayPal as it is a trusted virtual bank accepted by lot of websites. It is easy to pay and you can confirm the receipt of funds in seconds where as it takes months to receive check and funds cleared. That is why, lot of people prefer it rather than sending checks. Once a preferred amount is received in your PayPal, you can request for a check.

Hi,
Opening a Paypal account is very easy - go to the site and open one. Some of the sites that pay you - do it through their Credit cards - hence you may have to go to a higher account - to get a CC payment facility.
Paypal is the best system going - they are secure and most websites or paying sites will transfer money there.
I once received an email - which claimed to be from Paypal asking for some details . As soon as I opened it - a warning came from Paypal - telling me that I was not to disclose my details - just shows how thorough they are.
They do charge for sending money to you - it takes 20 - 25 days for the money to be transferred - but there is no better option than Paypal and Xoom

Hello !

Paypal transfers amount to Ur credit card. At the time of registration paypal asks for credit card and cvc code if U specify them they keep that record & whenever U request them for sending amount they verify for Ur credit card, if U 've c.c. they transfer the amount else they send cheque.

Thanking U
